Making "learning" a hobby

We come across new things and gain new experiences one way or another everyday. In order to keep in pace with time and changes, we have to continue "learning" even though we are not in schools anymore.

Taking new changes as part of the advancement in life and learning new things as a challenge, there are lots of new "discoveries" to look forward to each day. As for me, learning does not stop even after retirement. In fact, I find "unlimited time" is my "advantage" now. Quite a lot of my friends (in their fifties) feel the same way too. They invest on computers and spend hours learning how to use it. It is out of "necessity" in the first place that they touch the computer, so as to communicate with their children and friends overseas via email. But they eventually get themselves "connected to the world" and benefited a lot in terms of searching for information or shopping without stepping out of the house.

There are far more areas that we can learn each day, e.g learning to cook new dishes, to sew, to do sudoku and kakuro or if you are more adventurous , you could start tweaking a record player........., not forgetting learning to be more understanding, more patient, more loving ..............

Life is indeed a never ending process of learning and my new hobby now is "keep on learning".
